It was a typical cold winter evening, the date January 22, 1924. Now it was at this time that 24 interested Citizens, walked into the dark night, crossed a millstream by means of a narrow but fairly well constructed bridge, to reach their destination. The Cetronia Band Hall, a well-known community landmark, was located along a millstream south of Dorney Park Road, and east of Dorney Park boating lake. It was here that the men assembled, for a meeting to begin at 8:00pm. Sentiment in the community was strong, for the formation of an organization, according to a message by the temporary chairman E.C.H.Glick.
